The Foreign Exchange program is an initiative in which students visit and live abroad in another country. Students attend school and become entrenched in the culture and customs of the country they are visiting, truly embracing their new temporary home.

Redistricted Students Now Feel At Home

On March 4, 2014, the Union County Board of Education voted in a favor of a much debated and contentious redistricting plan, initially slated to affect almost 6,000 students. The redistricting plan was not well accepted by some of the parents of students required to move to a new school and caused public debates, heated exchanges in various forms of social media, and unfortunately, even some name calling. In the midst of the chaos that surrounded the approved redistricting plan, students in the Parkwood school cluster came together as a strong and unified group, eager to welcome new students and introduce them to what they called “Parkwood Pride.”
